Michael Shaw

In the late sixties and seventies Michael Shaw was considered to be one of the best choices for bass guitar with many groups. He came very close to being in groups like Santana, Bobby Freeman and The Bellemy Bros. But a career as an electronic engineer at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, out of practicality, had to be first in line. Now that that stint in his life is completed and after many performances in groups and as a solo, Mike’s career as a solo entertainer has really started to bloom. As a bass player it was difficult to get musicians to understand the music he wanted to do. The reason tended to be because the bass instrument only plays one note at a time. So, long ago, Mike learned a special way to play keyboards allowing for left hand bass and right hand chords and lead. With the aid of today’s technology this technique has allowed him to have immense creativity. Allowing him to play the good stuff and do it as a solo act. He accomplishes this without the aid of pre-recorded music or karaoke. Using an electronic drummer, he plays the nicest, live and naturally full sounding music possible. Lead vocals with the warmth of the ages and added harmony voices bring to your dancing pleasure a time you will cherish. You get the full package with Mike and won’t miss hearing a huge costly band. Mike’s music spans mostly from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. This age group represents most of the patrons around today. His selection of songs…Pop, Country and Western, Classic Rock and Easy Listening is like a dream come true.

Always a favorite in Yuma, AZ and in the Lake County, CA area. Mike’s web site is:
